The Taliban raise white flag over Bab Dosti near the Pak-Afghan border
July 14, 2021: Afghan Taliban reach near Pak-Afghan border, white flags have been hoisted on the border, Taliban take control of Bab Dosti after 20 years.
The Taliban unfurled the Afghan national flag and hoisted its white flag. According to private TV Geo News, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement that the Afghan district of Speen Boldak, which borders Pakistan has been captured. The Taliban spokesman appealed to citizens and businessmen not to come to Bab Dosti today. On the other hand, the Afghan Transport Department has confirmed that the Taliban took control of the Chaman-Kandahar highway in Afghanistan, which has resulted in the suspension of traffic.
In addition, Levies officials said that Bab-e-Dosti is also closed to all types of traffic from Pakistan due to which trade is also suspended. Additional security has been deployed at Bab-e-Dosti and a high alert has been issued on the Pak-Afghan border. The chapter is in touch with the Taliban to revive trade and friendship.
