The Ulema met with Imran Khan at Bani Gala

The Ulema met the Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan at his residence in Bani Gala to hold peace talks.

It has been reported that the PM was scheduled to meet with the ulema for negotiations at his residence. However, they have reportedly refused to hold talks in the presence of the religious cleric, Tahir Ashrafi, and the Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, Fawad Chaudhry.

They made claims:

“If they [Tahir Ashrafi and Fawad Chaudhary] will be in the same room, we will not be able to come to an agreement.”

Due to this, the two were requested to leave by the PM, Imran Khan. Later, the discussion between them included methods of handling the protestors.

It should be remembered that Fawad Chaudhary was expected to have held a press conference after the talks. However, it was effectively cancelled due to the concerns of the ulema.
