May 11, 2021 BaaghiTV: Israel continues to persecute unarmed Palestinians, first persecuting them during worship at Al-Aqsa Mosque, then bombing and injuring hundreds of Palestinians in Gaza. The United States has said only that Washington has expressed concern over recent incidents and clashes in East Jerusalem. According to a statement issued by the White House, US National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan spoke by telephone with his Israeli counterpart Mayor Ben Shabat last evening.

During the talks, Sullivan expressed the United States’ serious concern over the situation in Jerusalem. The U.S. official also expressed concern about possible evacuations of Palestinian families in the Al-Jazeera area. He called on the Israeli government to take appropriate steps to calm the situation. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said Israel must respect its freedom to hold peaceful assembly. He stressed that Israel must show restraint.

The Israeli army has launched an air strike on Gaza, as a result of which 9 Palestinians, including three children, have been martyred, according to initial reports. The Israeli air force targeted residential areas in Beit Hanoun, northwest of Gaza.
