Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who recovered from an hour injury, looked in full rhythm in the warm-up match against Afghanistan.
In the warm-up match played in Brisbane, Australia, Shaheen Shah Afridi yorked Afghan batsman Rahmanullah Garbaz Koteez in his first over, the ball hit his left toes, which injured him.
Rahmanullah Garbaz was declared out by the umpire on the appeal of the Pakistani players.
Seeing the pain of the Afghan batsman after being hit by Shaheen Shah Afridi, he was given medical aid at the crease but despite this he could not walk, after which Rahmanullah Garbaz was carried off the field by a fellow cricketer.
Later, after the game ended, Shaheen and Babar also went to the dressing room to inquire about Gurbaz’s well-being.
According to foreign news agency reports, Garbaz has been taken to the hospital after being injured, where he will be examined. Today’s warm-up between Pakistan and Afghanistan was called off due to rain before the conclusion. In the warm-up match, Shaheen Shah Afridi took the wicket of both Afghanistan’s openers by giving 29 runs.
Pakistan’s first match in the mega event will be against India, which will be played in Melbourne on October 23, for which the Indian team has already started preparations. Along with Shaheen Shah Afridi, the Indian batsman is also practicing to avoid the stormy bowling of Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf.
On the other hand, Afghanistan will play England on Saturday in the Super 12 stage of the ICCT20 World Cup.
