Medical Superintendent (MS) Services Hospital, Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed, while confirming the theft of medicines said that an attempt was made to take the medicines from the medical store of the hospital.

The MS Services Hospital said the drugs they were trying to steal included drugs for heart disease, blood pressure, diabetes, cancer and various other ailments.

MS Services Hospital said the guards inquired when they saw the hospital store open at 6 am. However, the police has been called, accused have been arrested and further investigations are underway.

The accused, Dr Iftikhar Amjad and Zahid, were caught red-handed stealing the cardiovascular drugs. Dr. Iftikhar Amjad has been an employee of the hospital for 7 years.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, Dr. Iftikhar is the brother of a private newspaper journalist.

The accused had secretly loaded drugs worth Rs 5-6 million in the vehicle and both of them have caused a loss of millions of rupees to the government hospital.
