According to reports, Zafar has recently shared a video on social networking website Facebook, in which he has recited a humble prayer, the verses for which highlight that the government should be considerate towards the helpless public.
Sharing the video, Ali Zafar wrote, “We are all going through a difficult time. But there is nothing a prayer can’t achieve”. Zafar went on to say that in the blessed month of Ramadan, he hopes his humble prayer could help to restore peace, health and happiness for people around he world.

The singer further highlighted that although the prayer is recited by him, it was originally covered by legendary vocalist, Lata Mangeshkar. He added that it was composed by Naushad Ali and penned by Shakeel Badayuni.
