Thirty percent of the work of the new shroud of the Kaabah strip completed

Makkah: 30% of the gold pieces of the strip for the new Kaabah shroud of 1433 AH have been manufactured, with 56 gold pieces remaining.

The work on the new sections of the new shroud Kaabah belt has been finished by 30%, according to the King Abdul Aziz Kiswah Complex.

The Kiswah Complex claimed in a statement that 56 golden pieces would be available soon, according to Saudi media. They are connected to the Kaabah curtain, the Kaabah shroud’s belt, the lower section of the shroud, and the lights.

According to the announcement, a golden component of the shroud belt will be available in 90 to 120 days. The preparation of the Kaabah veil continues throughout the year.

Saudi Arabia has established a shroud factory in Makkah’s Umm al-Jawd district. For 360 days, more than 200 experienced craftsmen work on the Kaabah shroud.

The Kaabah shroud is changed once a year. To make the Kaabah shroud, raw silk is imported, then washed and painted black.

The shroud of Kaabah is made of 670 kilogrammes of fine silk. It makes use of 120 kilogrammes of gold and 100 kilogrammes of silver wire.
