BaaghiTV reports that news of an alleged planted bomb at the Taj Mahal in the Agra region of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has caused a stir.
According to media reports, the police were called to report that a bomb had been planted at the Taj Mahal which could explode at any moment. The structure was evacuated and started search, gates of Taj Mahal were closed, bomb disposal squad also reached the spot and evacuated the premises of Taj Mahal and searched.
However, after a through search of the building was completed, the Bomb Disposal Squad declared the Taj Mahal was safe. Police are planning to arrest the caller, SP Shivaram Yadav said.
He said, after running background checks, they discovered the caller had recently been rejected for recruitment in the armed forces due to which he may have been angry. That is why he falsely called that a bomb had been planted in the Taj Mahal which would soon explode.
The CISF traced the caller’s location, the superintendent of police said. The call was made from Ferozabad. Further investigations are underway. Reports of a bomb being found at the Taj Mahal have caused a stir among tourists, with police saying the suspect will be arrested soon.
