At least three persons sustained injuries after a mysterious blast took place during the demolition of an old mosque in Handwara area of Kupwara district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a senior police officer told the media that the mysterious blast occurred while local residents were demolishing an old mosque to rebuild it in Langate area of the district.
“Suddenly, a loud bang was heard, leaving three individuals injured on the spot,” the officer said.
The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
