Three people injured after hand grenade attack in Mardan, KP

Feb 14, 2022: At least three people, including two women and a child, were seriously injured in a grenade attack in Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Monday, Aaj News reported.

The incident took place when unidentified assailants hurled a grenade at a house in Lund Khwar area of ​​the district. The injured were shifted to MMC Hospital Mardan. Police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. The development comes just days after a grenade blast in the Balochistan city of Chaman last Friday injured at least six people, including two Levies personnel.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a Levies checkpoint near Roghani Road Level Cross. The injured were shifted to District Civil Hospital.

Earlier this month, three terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with Pakistani troops in the Turbat area of ​​Balochistan. At least 15 terrorists were killed after a January 26 attack on security forces camps in Noshki and Panjgur, Balochistan.
