New York, 25th August: Chinese company TikTok has sued the Trump administration over the US ban. According to reports from the international media, TikTok sued the Trump administration in response to what it said is a ‘heavily politicized’ executive order that seeks to ban the short-form video app from the United States. The lawsuit alleges that Trump’s order violates due process protections, exceeds the scope of sanctions rules, and offers no evidence for its claims that TikTok presents a national security threat.
