According to Baaghi TV’s report, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan has announced its negotiating committee. Mufti Muhammad Wazir Ali, Allama Ghulam Abbas Faizi, Mufti Muhammad Umair Al-Zahiri, Mufti Muhammad Wazir Ali will be the head of the committee, this committee will negotiate with the government, and whatever decision is taken, the leadership will be informed.

Earlier, Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed arrived in Lahore and an important meeting was held at Punjab Safe Cities Authority Lahore under his chairmanship. The meeting reviewed protests of the banned organization from various angles. The Interior Minister was given a detailed briefing on the law and order situation and the strategy of law enforcement agencies. The meeting was attended by Noorul Haq Qadri, Ali Amin Gandapur, Raja Basharat, Ejaz Chaudhry, Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, Chief Secretary Punjab, IG Punjab, Additional Secretary Home, Commissioner Lahore.

Yesterday, 44 policemen were injured due to stone pelting and violence by the protesters while 2 policemen were martyred. Among the martyrs are Head Constable Ayub and Constable Khalid Javed. Services Hospital discharged 8 policemen out of 15 while 7 are under treatment. Mayo Hospital discharged 12 out of 16 injured policemen. Mian Munshi Hospital discharged one out of 7 policemen while 6 are undergoing treatment. Nawaz Sharif and Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital each have one policeman still under treatment. 3 injured were brought to Gangaram Hospital, 2 have been discharged and one is under treatment.

Earlier, mobile phone service from Lahore to Gujarat will be suspended. The Interior Ministry has directed PTA to block mobile phone service and internet. Mobile phone service has been suspended in Kala Shah Kaku, Muridke, Kamonkee, Gujranwala, Wazirabad and Gujarat. Interior Ministry informs Pakistan Telecom Authority about the decision and approves internet shutdown in several areas of Lahore at the request of Punjab Department. Internet service will remain closed in Data Darbar and Shahdara areas along with New and Old Ravi Bridge areas. Wi-Fi, Fix Line DSL service will be closed in different areas of Lahore. Internet service will not be available up to 5 km limit in special areas.

On the other hand, the protest march of a religious party has come to the notice of the Interior Ministry who is dealing the possible protests in Islamabad with an iron hand. 30,000 police personnel have been requested from KPK and Azad Kahsmir, 10,000 personnel and officers have been called from Punjab, KPK and Kashmir. Federal Interior Ministry has send letters to all three secretaries to send troops to Islamabad, it has been decided to keep the federal capital safe from protesters at all costs.

In view of the protest, more containers were delivered to Faizabad, the road from Double Road to Faizabad was completely closed, Merid Chowk was closed from all sides, Chandni Chowk Sixth Road was sealed with containers. All shops including hotel, oven, general store on Gawalmandi Chowk have been closed. Daily wagers and laborers are worried. Police have ordered to keep shops closed.

According to the spokesperson of Islamabad Police, the Express Chowk of the Red Zone is a diversion for both sides of the traffic on the entrance and exit routes. Public to use Margalla Road, Ayub Chowk, Nadra Chowk and Dhokri Chowk as alternatives. On both sides of the road there is diversion of Faizabad and Stadium Road. Citizens should use Ninth Avenue to enter Islamabad and Peshawar Road to enter Rawalpindi. Metro bus is running from IJP Road towards Pak Secretariat while being suspended in Rawalpindi. Murree Road, Faiz-ul-Islam stop, there are diversions on both sides of the traffic coming and going from Faizabad. Citizens traveling from Islamabad to Murree Road Rawalpindi should use Islamabad Highway. Murree Road is a diversion for traffic before Faizabad and from Rawal Dam Chowk to Faizabad.

Earlier, Syed Sarwar Shah, a member of Majlis-e-Shura of TLP, released a new video statement in which he said, “10 activists of Tehreek-e-Labbaik had been martyred, hundreds injured and dozens disabled, yet we were peaceful. The people are out now, who is reponsible for making people fight the institutions? The pedestrians were walking on the peaceful march from yesterday till now still there was consistent fire shall be opened thus we abided by.”

He further added, “I don’t want to take names now but if necessary, we will mention those responsible. Don’t force peaceful protestors to take the path that they are avoiding up till now.”

Roads have been reopened after the march in Lahore. According to the spokesperson of the traffic police, the traffic on the entrances and exits of the city is running as per normal. During the rally of the banned organization, the traffic police was seen providing alternative routes to the citizens. Additional personnel were deployed on the alternative routes and the traffic was kept flowing. According to the current flow, Ferozpur Road, Jail Road, Wahdat Road, Canal Road, Mall Road, from Babu Sabu to Scheme Mor and from Scheme Mor to Yateem Khana Chowk has been opened for traffic. Moreover, traffic in Lower Mall, Ravi Bridge, Secretariat Chowk is running as per normal. Chungi Ammar Saddu, Thokar Niaz Beg, Chuung, Mohnalwal, G.T. Road road traffic is running as usual. Citizens are being kept informed from time to time through Rasta app, Rasta FM and citizens can call helpline 15 for further guidance.
