January 21, 1990 has been marked as a black day in the history of Pakistan’s aqueduct Kashmir. On this day when the oppressed Kashmiris were protesting for their rights against Indian oppression and atrocities, the Indian forces, as per tradition, demonstrated state terrorism and opened indiscriminate firing, as a result of which 51 innocent and unarmed Kashmiris were martyred.

Undoubtedly, the hearts of the people all over the world trembled at the blood of the innocent. At that time the late Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Qazi Hussain Ahmed, demanded that a day be observed which is dedicated only to renewing the covenant with Kashmiris.

Qazi Hussain Ahmed made this demand, when Benazir Bhutto was the Prime Minister at the Center, Mian Nawaz Sharif was the Chief Minister of Punjab in Punjab, but all the provinces, including the federation, unanimously supported this demand. Kashmir Solidarity Day was celebrated on February 5, 1990. This process continues to this day and is celebrated every year with the determination that Kashmir will become Pakistan.

India ended the atrocities against Kashmiris on August 5, 2019 and ended the constitutional status of Kashmir. The Modi government has also started implementing the nefarious plan of resettling millions of non-Kashmiris in the valley, against which the voices of justice activists are being raised all over the world.

The Pakistani nation has been celebrating Kashmir Day for 31 years with the aim of expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people and making them believe that Kashmir is the lifeblood of Pakistan. A large number of people in the city of Quaid remembered the Kashmiri brothers on this occasion and expressed their feelings. Some expressed their good wishes while others termed Indian atrocities as cowardice. Residents of Shar-e-Qaeda say that India cannot maintain its occupation of Kashmir, it will have to leave Kashmir today or tomorrow. Citizens say that the day is not far when paradise-like Kashmir will become Pakistan.
