According to reports, a tractor collided with a Pakistan National Airlines PIA plane, at the Islamabad Airport.

According to a private TV, the tugmaster was taking the plane to the runway when the tractor collided with the plane due to a heart attack. The VHF antenna of the national airline plane broke due to the collision with the tractor. PIA officials have confirmed that a tractor collided with the plane.

According to an earlier report, the national airline PIA has incurred a loss of Rs.500 billion in 15 years. Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan presented the details of the national airline’s deficit during the last 15 years in the National Assembly. He said in a written reply that PIA had caused a loss of over Rs.499 billion to the exchequer.

According to the figures provided by you, PIA incurred a loss of Rs.499.75 billion between 2005 and 2020. In the last year of PML-N, the highest loss was Rs.67 billion. During the PTI era, the deficit of the national airline gradually decreased. In 2019, the deficit was reduced to Rs.55 billion, while in 2020, the deficit was further reduced to Rs.39 billion.
