Tragic accident on Defense Road in Lahore: Report

According to the report of Baaghi TV, a tragic incident has taken place in Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab. Five people were killed and three others were injured when a dumper rickshaw collided with them.

A speeding dumper trampled a motorcycle rickshaw on Defense Road in Lahore. Five people lost their lives on the spot in a tragic accident. Police and rescue teams rushed to the spot.

Police officials said that the bodies of those killed in the accident were shifted to the hospital where the bodies will be handed over to heirs after legal proceedings.

The deceased have been identified as Rickshaw driver Shehzar, Zahid Sakna Dunyapur, Mohammad Farooq, Hasnain resident of Garh Maha Raja Jhang District, Zariab Ahmed Tali Jamil Renala Khur Okara.

According to reports, the passengers on the rickshaw were on their way to the factory for work when they were hit by an unidentified high-speed dumper coming from the one-way front on Lahore University Kit Defense Road. Which killed 5 people while injuring 3. The injured have been shifted to the hospital by Edhi ambulance, the dumper driver has fled the scene.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has expressed regret over the loss of human lives in a traffic accident. The Chief Minister sought a report from CCPO Lahore and Commissioner Lahore Division on the incident. Punjab Chief Minister has ordered legal action against the driver responsible for the accident. The Punjab Chief Minister said that the driver responsible for negligence should be brought to book immediately.
