Train carrying Sikh Pilgrims derailed, no casualties reported
No injury or loss of life reported so far in the train accident
A special train of Sikh pilgrims departing from Karachi has met with an accident near Pir Mahal, the carriages of the train derailed.
Eight coaches of a special train of Sikh pilgrims derailed between Pir Mahal and Shurkot, no injuries or casualties were reported in the train accident.
Efforts are still on to clear the track, passengers on the train are being transported by public transport.
The safe coaches of the train have left for Nankana Sahib with the passengers.
The administration distributed food items to the victims, the Divisional Superintendent reached the spot and inspected the railway track. Assistant Commissioner Pir Mahal Irfan Martin, Assistant Commissioner Toba Tek Singh Abid Shabbir Laghari provided public transport through which all the Sikh pilgrims were transported to Nankana Sahib.
