History dates back to the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war when the sixth fleet couldn’t reach Pakistan as the Soviet Union was supporting India and blocked access to the US Navy fleet. Pakistan was broken and that was an irreparable loss. Then comes the first Afghan war in 1977 when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, it was the era of the first cold war where the battlefield was Afghanistan and Pakistan, countries were divided into two blocs. We had a military dictator ruling Pakistan during that time.

Like any dictator, he wanted some recognition and legitimacy, so he being in the US bloc, agreed to fight for the US and did a good job for his master’s and fought vehemently but covertly, we need not go into those details as they are no more a secret to the world. End result was that Soviet Union’s economy collapsed and it couldn’t sustain itself and was broken into several countries. That’s a brief history between Russia and Pakistan. One thing is common that once they aided against each other the result was in broken countries.

China helped bridge the gap between the two and Pakistan seems to have realized that the US has abandoned Pakistan yet again but once they yet again achieved their goals in Afghanistan. Though Russia lifted the embargo on the sale of military hardware to Pakistan in 2011, a greater normalization was needed as the first cold war era had finished with the breaking of the USSR. Pakistan’s leadership always looked towards the west alone for being the reliable partners for reasons that are beyond anyone’s comprehension. This was the time when Russia was rebuilding its economy. Prima facie that was not liked by the west and such situation was created that oil prices remain down and Petro dollars may not help Russia in quickly overcoming their economic crisis. President Putin was smart enough to manage and rebuild the economy of the country and was ready yet again to look into the eyes of the west. His interference in Syria against the rest of the world where he saved the presidency of Bashar Al Asad, proved to be a turning point. Now Russia once again exerted itself as the major or the key player and the world leaders wary of the attitude of the west had a glimmer of hope, that hope was not other than anyone else but Putin’s Russia.

Multan Sultans set 164 runs target for Lahore Qalandars

The case I am trying to build is that the relationship between the countries should not only be bilateral but based on long terms economic benefit of the inhabitants. No wars have ever been won, they all have cost humanity belligerently.

China being the economic superpower of the world and Russia vying for quick economic growth are always looking for new markets. The Belt and Road project of President Xi Jin Ping is being looked at negatively by the west as at any given time the war of economy continues to rage. More access to the markets means more economic growth. It’s fair to have a market share where you can, but not by blocking the growth of the other countries as the potential the world has in growth is unimaginable. The world has a population of about seven billion but the markets that the world is serving is that of about 60 percent of the world population and as rest are living below the poverty line. Increased economic activities can bring that poor population out of the poverty stigma and create such a market that, every country will be struggling to coop up with the growth. It is strongly concluded that, rather than spending dollars on wars or blocking each other, or starting a Cold War 2, the world must accept the truth and do the reconciliation and grow the markets by bringing people out of the poverty line. This helps humanity, this helps peace and harmony in the world.

Horoscope predictions for today, February 24, 2022

What, I foresee in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit as take home is the greater bilateral relationship based on the economic growth. It is not against any country or for being a part of any bloc for a foreseeable Cold War 2.

It wouldn’t be justified if we do not touch the major international crisis here, yes, #RussiaUkraineCrisis.

The world cannot afford a war or clash of civilizations. The impact of a building up to the crises is being felt by all the countries which do not produce Oil. By the time you may be reading this article Crude Oil may have touched the figure of US Dollar 100 a barrel. Though it helps Russia being one of the major producers of Gas and Oil the whole world is not realizing this, that they are only helping Putin’s Russia in making them economically stronger. You never know that the 2014 Crime Crisis, when the Crude Oil prices went past 100 is being repeated purposefully. If nothing happens and I wish the war is averted, history may prove this claim to be accurate.
