Trump Criticizes Biden For Equipment Left in Afghanistan
US President Donald Trump once again criticized Joe Biden for leaving American military equipment behind in Afghanistan.
He stated that during his presidency, he had fully rebuilt the military, but Biden abandoned much of this equipment during the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Trump said: “We completely rebuilt the military only to watch Biden give so much of it away to Afghanistan if you can believe it, it’s not even believable what he did. the damage that that man did or that administration did to this country is frankly not even believable.”
“Donald Trump, along with the American people and the world, must understand that these weapons, equipment, and ammunition were not dropped from American planes for the Afghan people, nor were they directly handed over to the Taliban. Rather, these weapons belonged to the previous Afghan government. Had any other government taken over instead of the Islamic Emirate, these weapons would have been in its possession,” said Ahmad Khan Andar, a political analyst.
Although the Islamic Emirate has not recently commented on this matter, it previously dismissed Trump’s remarks about reclaiming military equipment from Afghanistan as emotional.
“The United States currently cannot provide a list showing which of its military weapons remain in Afghanistan. The equipment now in the hands of the Islamic Emirate was obtained after battles and conflicts with the previous administration and is considered war spoils,” said Abdul Sadiq Hamidzoi, a political analyst.
Yesterday a spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry in a press conference expressed support for US efforts to reclaim military equipment from Afghanistan.
