Sept 20, 2021: Safiullah, a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander, was killed in an intelligence-led operation in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement Monday.

According to ISPR, the commander was involved in the February 2021 killing of four women working for an NGO in November 2020. The ISPR added that in addition to these attacks, the TTP commander was also involved in IED attacks on security forces and extortion and kidnapping for ransom.

The intelligence-led operation was carried out in Mir Ali Mirali district when security forces received a tip-off about the whereabouts of the accused. Saifullah was shot dead in a raid.

The TTP terrorist commander, who was involved in the February 2021 killing of four NGO women and the killing of FWO engineers, was killed during a security operation.

Earlier this month, a terrorist was killed and six suspected militants were captured in an intelligence-led operation (IBO) by security forces in the North Waziristan district.

The ISPR further added that a large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered during Monday’s operation.

On Friday, security forces killed at least two terrorists during an IBO in Razmak, North Waziristan. Security forces conducted an IBO on reports of terrorist presence in Razmak, North Waziristan. Two terrorists were killed.

A statement issued by the ISPR said that arms and ammunition were also recovered from the TTP terrorists. At least seven Pakistani soldiers were martyred in a fierce exchange of fire with militants in South Waziristan on Wednesday.

The area has been cordoned off and a clearance operation has been launched. Earlier this month, seven Pakistani soldiers were martyred and five terrorists were killed in the Usman Manza area of ​​South Waziristan.
