Sept 4, 2021: The Turkish government has further relaxed quarantine rules for Pakistani nationals wishing to travel to Turkey.
A statement from Ankara said the regulations would take effect on September 4. Regardless of the status of the vaccination, all passengers will present a negative result of the PCR test, which must be done at most 72 hours before entering Turkey.
Under the new rules and regulations, travelers from Pakistan who have documentary evidence of the corona virus vaccination will be exempted from quarantine.
Such vaccinations should be of two doses of any of the vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (except forJohnson and Johnson, which has just one dose). The quarantine waiver will apply to those who have been vaccinated whose last dose was given at least 14 days before their trip. Pakistani travelers who cannot provide proof of vaccination will be quarantined at their residences or addresses which they will announce, tourists will be quarantined in their booked hotels.
On the 10th day of the quarantine period, their PCR will be tested and in case of negative result, the quarantine application will be terminated.
Those who do not take the PCR test on the 10th day will be quarantined for 14 days. If the test results are positive, the case will be dealt with in accordance with the instructions of the Turkish Ministry of Health.
Before the Turkish government announced the revised rules, the Pakistani embassy was in constant contact with the relevant Turkish authorities, sharing the status of vaccinations and measures in Pakistan to control the spread of the corona cirus infection.
