Turkey opens Çanakkale bridge connecting Europe, Asia

Ankara: The world’s longest bridge connecting Europe and Asia has been inaugurated in Turkey. According to Turkey Urdu, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan inaugurated the world’s largest bridge over the sea in Istanbul on the occasion of the Chanak Fortress War of Independence. On the occasion, Turkish President Erdoğan said that the bridge would generate approximately 5.48 billion for Turkey annually, along with providing employment opportunities to nearly 118,000 people and increasing national income by up to 2.6 billion. Turkey’s Çanakkale bridge, also known as the Dardanelles bridge, was built in 1915.
