Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had said that stability and prosperity in South Asia cannot be separated from Kashmir. Turkish President raised the Kashmir issue in his address to the UN General Assembly.

He had said that despite the UN resolutions, 80 million people were detained in occupied Kashmir, the problem for a secure future should be resolved through dialogue rather than Kashmir war.
