Twilight of my life
I had thought, once I have time, I will make up for a decade of battling with life, by socializing. Something I missed. Or, so I thought. Now that I have the time, there is no desire to interact for inane conversations. Instead, I enjoy my solitude with reading books I wanted to. Writers I wanted to read.
I discovered Murakami, the Japanese writer who became a phenomenon after his work, “The Norwegian Wood”. I picked up 7 of his books available in market.

It’s a beautiful thing to have part of your bed overflowing with books. To wake up at 1 or 2 am & start reading. The absolute silence of early hours of the day with no distractions.
Life takes different turns for people as each tread their own path. We are like specks passing each other on way to our destiny. Coming across others only to be lost in the whirlwind of time-our paths never crossing again.

Lines from Murakami’s book I just finished, made me read it again and again, that rings so true, “So that’s how we live our lives. No matter how deep and fatal the loss, no matter how important the thing that’s stolen from us, that’s snatched right out of our hands-even if we are left completely changed people with only the outer skin from before, we continue to play out our lives in this way, in silence. We draw even nearer to our allotted span of time, bidding it farewell as it trails off behind.”
What is important is to understand not to measure our happiness or sense of fulfillment by anyone’s standards but by our own.
