Twitter disables Trump’s video tribute to George Floyd
Twitter has removed United States (US) President Donald Trump’s campaign tribute video to George Floyd on its platform citing a copyright complaint. According to the details, Twitter administration did not affirm whether it received any copyright complaint, but the video was immediately removed from Twitter. The video was retweeted 7,000 times by people including Donald Trump and his son, Donald Jr. The video showed protests over the death of George Floyd, who was killed by police, as well as a public tribute to him. In the video, Donald Trump’s voice can be heard expressing his sorrow over the death of a black American man, including calling it a tragic event. Trump is trying to divide the US by abuse of power: Mattis Interestingly, while the video has been removed from Twitter, it is now available on Donald Trump’s official YouTube channel and has been viewed more than 100,000 times by the afternoon of June 5. The clip, which is still on YouTube, garnered more than 60,000 views and 13,000 likes. The video-streaming platform’s parent Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
