Former spokesperson of the Punjab government Musarrat Jamshed Cheema and her husband Jamshed Iqbal Cheema have announced to quit Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and politics. Earlier this week, their lawyer told media persons that the couple has decided to quit PTI and completely condemned the May 9 events in which military and public buildings were targeted. This announcement came in moments after Maleeka Bokhari appeared before the Islamabad media persons and announced to leave the politics and PTI. She said she would now focus on her profession. A number of heavy weights disassociated themselves from PTI party membership including Fawad Chaudhry.
