Lahore, 29th August: United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced that they will resume issuing tourist visas to people from all countries from August 30.

According to details, authorities in the UAE have announced to resume giving tourist visas to people from all countries with the condition that they are vaccinated against COVID-19.

According to reports, from August 30, tourist visas will be open to those who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. However, the authorities made it clear that only the vaccines approved by World Health Organization (WHO) are accepted by the Kingdom.

Furthermore, other than work, student, transit or medical visa, those interested in visiting the Emirates for tourism can now plan their itinerary starting from tomorrow.

Hence, it is mandatory for all tourist passengers arriving in the UAE to take a rapid PCR test at the airport as soon as they had landed.

Meanwhile, authorities have also made it clear that for those who are still unvaccinated or whose vaccination is not approved by WHO, previous restrictions and exemptions will remain in place for them.

According to reports, if a person gets stuck due to remaining unvaccinated against COVID-19 or not getting a WHO-approved vaccine, he can still benefit from the new relaxation in the Emirates by registering for their vaccination through the ICA platform or Al Hosn application.

UAE eases travel rules for Pakistan, 5 other nations

Meanwhile, visitors from Pakistan can now depart to Sharjah also. They can travel to Sharjah irrespective of their Covid vaccination status.

Air Arabia announced on its website that e-visa holders from India, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka are now allowed to travel to Sharjah.

“All passengers traveling to Sharjah from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal with a residence, tourist and employment e-visas that have recently been issued do not require prior approval or registration before entering the country,” the airline said.

It may be noted that this is one of nine categories of passengers from these countries allowed to travel to the UAE.
