UN condemns terrorist attack on PSX in Karachi
UNITED NATIONS, June 30 (APP): United Nations has strongly condemned terrorist attack on the Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi.
Talking to media in New York, the spokesman of UN Secretary-General, Stephane Dujarric, conveyed his condolences to families of victims, people and government of Pakistan.
It should be remembered that three people, including a policeman, were killed in a terrorist attack near Karachi Stock Market. Security forces took immediate action and killed two terrorists. A large contingent of police and Rangers arrived on the scene and cordoned off the area, while investigators began gathering evidence.

According to Wallace, four gunmen first hurled a grenade at the gate of the stock exchange, then opened fire. Police sources say that four people were injured in the grenade attack and firing, including a policeman, a security guard of the stock exchange and two civilians who were rushed to a hospital for immediate medical treatment. Police sources say that two civilians were killed in the terrorist attack.
Police officials said that security personnel had entered the stock exchange and in retaliation, three terrorists were killed while one terrorist was still inside the stock exchange and a search operation was underway to find him.
Security personnel have also cordoned off the surrounding areas and closed II Chandragar Road to traffic from Meri Weather Tower and Shaheen Complex after the attack. According to rescue officials, five people have been killed so far in the attack, including two civilians and three terrorists. Security sources say the terrorists were armed with sophisticated weapons and had explosive-laden jackets.
