United Nations Appeals to the Indo-Pak to Exercise Restraint

UN (5th Aug, 2019): The United Nations (UN) has reportedly appealed to the Indo-Pak to exercise restraint and control the escalating tensions in the region, along the Line of Control (LoC).

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the United Nations has reportedly appealed to India and Pakistan to exercise restraint and to maintain peace in the region especially along the LoC. Moreover, the UN Secretary General’s spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric, has stated that the UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan has reported an increase in military activity and engagement between the neighboring countries along the LoC.

Based on reports, the UN Military Observer Group had been deployed in January 1949 to supervise a ceasefire between the states. The spokesperson added that while Pakistan lets the Observer Group monitor the LoC, India does not.
