Unmarried couples barred from entering park

The issue was addressed by the management of a park in India in the wake of increasing incidents of harassment of women in amusement parks.

According to Indian media, unmarried couples were barred from entering the park by the park administration in Hyderabad, India, fulfilling ethical requirements.

Following the reaction of social media users, Indian Zonal Commissioner Secunderabad tweeted and said that the banners banning unmarried couples have been removed while the police have been directed to remain active to keep the park environment calm.

The banner put up by the administration outside the park clearly stated that unmarried couples are not allowed in the park.

The ban was later sharply criticized by users on the social media platform Twitter, who also called for the ban to be lifted, calling it unconstitutional.
