Dengue outbreak fears loom as cases surge in Punjab, KP

Lahore, 28th Feb: According to the reports of Baaghi TV, the two patients of coronavirus, who were tested positive on Wednesday, are in a stable condition now.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health, Dr Zafar Mirza, reported that both the patients, who were tested positive against coronavirus are ‘stable and improving’.

On Wednesday, two cases of COVID-19 were reported in Pakistan, one in Karachi and the other in the capital city, Islamabad.

The first case was of a 22 year old male, Yahya Jaffri, who travelled back from Iran to Karachi and contracted the virus. He was kept under close observation, in isolation at a private hospital in Karachi.

The second one was reported at Islamabad, and was admitted at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), who was residing in Skardu and had visited Iran too.

While talking to the journalists, Dr Zafar Mirza assured that effective measures are being taken in Pakistan to deal with the novel coronavirus.

He visited Taftan border to ensure the safety measures in order to contain the spread of coronavirus, after the threat of the outspread of this virus in Iran.

It may be noted that Iran’s ex-cleric Hadi Khosroshahi, 81, died today, after being tested of coronavirus yesterday and two of Iran’s prominent ministers have also been tested positive.

The death toll in Iran is the highest after China, reaching up to 26 and 245 are the confirmed cases.

Balochistan Government has sealed Taftan border with Iran and ceased all sorts of trade with them.

Karachi and Punjab Governments are also taking possible safety measures to create awareness among people and creating helplines.
