US Author Dean Koontz Predicted Coronavirus in 1981
Since yesterday, an excerpt from the novel “The Eyes of Darkness” by Dean Koontz has been making its presence felt on the internet. But why? With the ongoing fatal coronavirus outbreak, that originated in China at the start of this year, the content of this book hits a tune little too close. In Chapter 39 of the book, Koontz talks about a lab situated in Wuhan, which lends the virus its identify, Wuhan-400. Here are some lines from the book that have made it an instant sensation on the social media and internet. “To understand that,” Dombey said, “you have to go back twenty months.” It was around then that a Chinese scientist named Li Chen defected to the United States, carrying a diskette record of China’s most important and dangerous new biological weapon in a decade.
