Senior US diplomat Alice Wells arrived in Islamabad on official visit to hold crucial talks with civil and military leadership.

According to reports of Baaghitv, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Ambassador Alice Wells arrived in Islamabad, following the successful tour of USA by PM Imran Khan, to hold meetings with civil and military leadership.

The senior Deputy Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Ambassador Alice Wells will discuss Afghan Peace process and the progress made in this regard.

”During the talks, Pakistan will raise the issue of India’s move to strip occupied Kashmir of its special status under the Indian constitution’s Article 370.”

 

It is expected the matters of bilateral co-operation and recent surge in unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) and killing of innocent and unarmed Kashmiris in Azad Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian security forces and deployment of additional troops by Indian in IOK.

Alice Wells is expected to pay visit to Karachi as well in her current tour of Pakistan.
