On Monday, US Special Envoy Amos Hochstein reached Israel amid efforts to prevent a the threat of full-scale war between Israel and the Iranian-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah.
The US Envoy is set to meet with top Israeli leaders, including President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth said to discuss turbulent situation over expected war threat.
Hochstein’s negotiations will stress on resolving a political solution to prevent the outbreak of a full-fledged war with Hezbollah, the media reported.
Meanwhile, tensions have emerged along the Israeli-Lebanese border after an exchange of attacks between Hezbollah and Israeli forces as Israel escalated its offensive against Gaza, also spreading towards West Bank, which has killed over 41,200 people since October 2023, following a cross-border blitz by Hamas, a Palestinian resistance group.
