According to reports, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken paid an unannounced visit to Afghanistan where he also met with Afghan officials and US forces.
During his visit to Afghanistan, Foreign Minister Antony Blinken met with President Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah and US forces, according to the foreign news agency.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the withdrawal of US troops does not mean the end of US-Afghanistan relations. The purpose of the visit is to show the US commitment to Afghanistan, the partnership is changing but the partnership is lasting.
On the other hand, it is being said that no other Afghan, including Ashraf Ghani, was aware of the US Secretary of State’s visit and all of them were surprised to hear the news of the US Secretary of State’s arrival in Afghanistan.
