Lahore, 20th May: US Senator Bernie Sanders introduced a resolution in the US Senate in support of the Palestinians.
“This resolution reflects the sentiments of the majority in the United States and around the world. Every Palestinian’s life matters, so we call for an immediate ceasefire,” Sanders said.
“We have the support of the Pope, the European Union, the Secretary-General, and others for an immediate ceasefire in Palestine, and we want a diplomatic solution to the conflict in order to protect international law and human rights,” he said.
Bernie Sanders said why the deaths of Palestinians, including 64 children and 38 women, were not being taken seriously, and that it was unfortunate for some US senators to condemn only Israeli killings.
