US to equally distribute frozen Afghan assets among 9/11 victims
Washington: United States President, Joe Biden, has decided to distribute frozen Afghan assets equally among the Afghan people and the victims of the 9/11 attacks. According to US media, the value of the frozen Afghan assets is estimated at 7 billion US dollars, which the Biden administration had been reluctant to return. According to the US presidential decree, of the 7 billion, President Joe Biden has decided to distribute the funds equally among the Afghan people and the victims of the 9/11 attack. This will make an estimated 3.5 billion, for both parties. The presidential decree which was signed on Friday states that the administration will have access to the frozen Afghan assets in the Federal Reserve of New York, of which only 3.5 billion will be spent on the welfare of the Afghan people and the future of Afghanistan. The order stated that the payment to the 9/11 victims would be suspended till the court comes to a decision.
