The petition filed in the Sindh High Court by Federal Minister Ali Zaidi said that the Sindh High Court had in January ordered to make public the three important JITs. Failure to comply with the court order will result in contempt of court proceedings.
The petition further said that the accused arrested in the Baldia tragedy had made the most important revelations. Uzair Baloch had admitted the involvement of important personalities in terrorism and other incidents.
In January this year, the Sindh High Court granted federal minister Ali Zaidi’s request to make public the JIT reports on Lyari gang warlord Uzair Baloch, former fisheries chairman Nisar Murai and the Baldia Town tragedy.
Ali Zaidi had approached the Sindh High Court two years ago to bring the reports to light, but the lawyers of the provincial government kept trying to prevent the petition from being heard. Ali Zaidi became a minister but continued to follow the request. Federal Minister Ali Zaidi, through his lawyer Barrister Omar Soomro, took the position that the people have a right to know the facts. His position was that more than 200 innocent people were burnt alive in the Baldia factory. JIT gathered the facts.
