Veteran actor Masood Akhtar dead at 80

LAHORE: Pakistan’s leading veteran actor Masood Akhtar has died at the age of 80. The actor had been undergoing treatment in a hospital for the past two months. Masood Akhtar’s family sources confirmed the actor’s death, saying that Masood Akhtar died at a private hospital this morning. Masood Akhtar was suffering from lung cancer. He had earlier suffered a heart attack due to the sudden death of his young son. His funeral prayers will be offered at 4 pm today at Usman Park Gulshan Ravi.
