Vice-Chancellor King Edward College alleged of sexual harassment

Lahore, 8th December: Vice-Chancellor from Lahore’s prestigious university has been served show-cause notice over sexual harassment allegations.

Baaghi TV: Vice-Chancellor Khalid Masood Gondal from Lahore King Edward Medical University has been issued a show-cause notice in a sexual harassment case.

According to Baaghi TV, a hearing was held in Punjab on the request of a female doctor for the allegations of sexual harassment.

Punjab Ombudsman Rukhsana Gilani heard the sexual harassment petition of female doctor Dalia Mahmood. The female doctor of the Mayo Hospital Lahore filed the petition through the advocate Mian Dawood.

The petitioner said that Vice-Chancellor King Edward Khalid Masood Gondal has been harassing the female doctor for the last one and a half year. The petitioner said that the vice-chancellor has been sexually harassing her several times. Upon refusing to cooperate with him, he started threatening her telling her to think about her future and promotion in her work.

The petitioner said that for the last one and half years, at the behest of the Vice-Chancellor, there have been obstructions in the female doctor’s employment. Sometimes notices are sent from unauthorized authorities, sometimes notices are sent from unknown numbers.
Vice-chancellor has been threatening her to be fired for not complying with his immoral demands. There is audio evidence of threats to remove her from the post.

Vice-Chancellor Khalid Masood Gondal has been ordered to submit reply within 5 days. Female ombudsman adjourned further hearing on sexual harassment complaint till December 22.
