With every new inning, India superstar batter Virat Kohli is making new records and on Thursday he become first ever cricketer in IPL history to register a a record for 1000 boundaries.

On Thursday, Virat Kohli became first-ever player to hit 1,000 boundaries — including 721 fours and 280 sixes in IPL history. He reached to milestone during RCB’s clash against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday.

 

 

Kohli wrote his name in the record books with a six that brought up the moment fans had been waiting for.

 

 

With over 8,190 IPL runs to his name, Kohli’s landmark further cements his position as the undisputed king of consistency in the tournament’s history.

Kohli was dismissed for 22 off 14 balls by leg-spinner Vipraj Nigam.

Earlier, DC skipper Axar Patel had won the toss and opted to bowl first.
