War expected between two superpowers: Chief Of Defense Staff
Lahore, 6th November: A war between China and India could erupt at any time, the Indian Chief of Defense Staff has warned. According to Indian media, General Bipin Rawat said in his keynote address that China and India are holding commander-level talks but the situation on the Line of Actual Control is still tense. The possibility of turning into a battle cannot be ruled out. The two armies will face each other for the first time in winter at an altitude of thousands of feet due to India-China tensions. It may be recalled that a former BJP MP from Ladakh in Occupied Kashmir has claimed that the Chinese army has infiltrated Indian territory and captured more places at Finger 2 and 3 on the north bank of Pangong Lake. Former member Theopistan Chuang told The Hindu that residents of the area near the Line of Actual Control told him that the situation on the border was “worrying” and that the Chinese army had not occupied any more important places on Finger 2 and 3.
