Wazirzada distributes health grant cheques among minority people

PESHAWAR, Feb 03 (APP): Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Minority Affairs, Wazirzada on Wednesday distributed cheques worth Rs2.5 million among ailing members of minority community of the province to provide them relief in healthcare facilities.

Talking on the occasion, he said the Chief Minister had issued special directives for providing relief to the minority community in healthcare requirements. Providing relief to our minorities and helping them out to a great extent was part of the PTI manifesto. He directed the quarters concerned to include the remaining ailing people from the minority in this scheme and newspaper advertisements should be published for their information.

Wazirzada distributed cheques among 102 patients from the minority among out of which 48 were from Peshawar while 11 from Nowshera, 06 from Mardan, 14 from Abbottabad, 04 from Bannu, 07 from Chitral, 04 from DI Khan, 07 from Hangu and one was from Kohat. The cheques amounted from Rs 10000 to Rs 100000 among which some cases were considered as special.

Wazirzada said the provincial government under the headship of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan was making cogent efforts for the welfare of the minority community. After the current phase, he said the minorities of tribal districts would also be provided relief grant in healthcare sector. He said the most deserving members of the minority community were provided with the relief grant. The people-friendly policies of the government were aimed at enhancing the life standard of the deserving people, he added.
