‘We are Ready to Play our Role in Solving Balochistan’s Problem’ : Asif Zardari

According to the report of Baaghi TV, former President Asif Ali Zardari has telephoned PPP Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira and General Secretary Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed. He discussed affairs of the PPP and Balochistan.

Asif Ali Zardari discussed the latest situation and party affairs in detail with the Punjab leadership. He said that PPP followers are united in Punjab and the time is coming soon.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari has said that there is no fear of lawsuits. We will still compete in the courts. Asif Zardari said that if the government did not do anything for the people, a terrible situation could arise. The PPP supported farmers and workers in the 2008 global crisis.

Support programs for farmers and workers brought the country’s economy back. Instead of strengthening the provinces, the federal government is weakening them.

Asif Zardari further said that the people sitting in the federation do not have political understanding. They let every crisis deepen. I warned them about locusts a year ago but they did not understand. We were exporting wheat, sugar and cotton, they are importing.

Asif Zardari further said that I thought it was my responsibility to bring the angry Baloch back into the national mainstream. In the 2008 elections, all nationalist parties in Balochistan boycotted. Through our efforts, all parties in Balochistan returned to the national mainstream in the 2013 elections. The rulers do not believe in the constitution, nor in any principle, nor in any civilization. Rather, they want to destroy everything.

Asif Zardari further said that if they are talking to Akhtar Mengal today, it is because he is present in Parliament. The PPP is still ready to play its role in solving the problems of Balochistan on the condition that the Baloch youth give up the armed struggle and return to the political struggle.

The state also needs to be more careful in Balochistan now. If another incident like Akbar Bugti happens, no one will be able to handle the situation.
