- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while brazenly acknowledging the deadly attack in Lebanon, has said that Israeli forces first attacked and destroyed Saad Hariri’s compound inside Lebanon in self-defense.
Prime Minister Netanyahu:
“We hit a cell and now we hit the dispatchers. We will do what is necessary in order to defend ourselves. I suggest to all of them, including Hezbollah, to consider this.— Prime Minister of Israel (@IsraeliPM) August 4, 2020
Netanyahu added that this was also a message to those who have become a symbol of fear for Israel, adding that Hezbollah and other anti-Israel groups should remember that Israel can do anything in its defense.
