ISLAMABAD, August 14 (Online Int’l): Interior Minister Brig (Retd) Ijaz Ahmad has said we would have faced the same situation that Muslims in India are facing had we not achieved independence.

He said this while addressing a flag hoisting ceremony in connection with the 73rd independence day of Pakistan in Nankana Sahab. We have lost half the country and we can not afford further dismemberment, he remarked. The country is being built on the pattern of the State of Medina. People should adhere to safety norms against the coronavirus epidemic.

PTI senator Faisal Javed said there was no dam built in the country since 50 years back and now work is underway on the construction of dams.
