Lahore (30th April, 2020): What will the weather be like in the second week of Ramadan? Where will it rain?

According to Baaghi TV reports, rains are expected in 90% of Pakistan from coming Friday to next Thursday.

According to the Meteorological Department: Quetta, Chaman, Khojak, Zhob, Fort Abdullah, Pishin, Fort Saifullah, Laura Lai, Harnai, Sibi, Mekhtar, Kohlu, Barkhan, Dera Bugti, Sui, Dera Murad Jamali, Ziarat, Nushki, Kharan, Kalat, Dalbandin Khuzdar, Bella, Othal, Awaran, Panjgur, Turbat, and most places will experience thundershowers, torrential rains, winds and hail.

From May 1 to May 7, intermittent strong winds, thundershowers and torrential rains are expected in all parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Heavy showers and/or thundershowers are expected in all parts of Azad Kashmir and Indian Occupied Kashmir as well as Gilgit-Baltistan from April 30 to May 8. More than 9,000 feet of snow is expected again.

There are also fears of landslides due to continuous rains in mountainous areas. Lightning strikes are more likely to occur during storms, so avoid going under the open sky unnecessarily.

Over the next seven days, the weather will remain uncertain in most parts of the country and severe thunderstorms could form anywhere, causing tornadoes in a few places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh.

Strong winds, hailstorms are expected to damage crops. Farmers are urged to take precautionary measures to harvest their crops according to the season and store them in a safe place. Heavy rains in different parts of the country could lead to floods, so all agencies need to be vigilant.
