Weekly rate of positive cases reaches a record level in the Federal Capital
Lahore, 4th April: The number of infected cases of coronavirus has reached the highest level in Pakistan’s Federal Capital.
According to Baaghi TV’s report, Islamabad’s district health officials have reported that the rate of positive cases has risen to a record level.
DHO Islamabad Dr Zaeem raised an alarm and said, “The weekly rate of positive cases has reached to record 11.28 per cent in the week from March-29 to 04 April. The rate has been the highest in the last 10 weeks.”
He added, “The weekly rate of positive cases in the previous week of March 22-28, was 09.69 per cent, while on January 18-24, the ratio of positive cases in the federal capital city was 1.67 pct.”
Baaghi TV reported earlier in the day that 81 more people lost their lives due to novel coronavirus during the last 24 hours, bringing the overall death toll to 14,778.
NCOC Chief, Asad Umar has already warned of a dangerous situation in the country after the rate of COVID critical patients increased to an alarming number in the last 24 hours.
