What a complete lie: Miftah Ismail responds to ARY’s report

Finance Minister of Pakistan Miftah Ismail, denies ARY’S report according to which he said, “There’s been no response from the IMF so far”.
The finance minister took to Twitter to respond to ARY’s report which was fabricated according to him. He wrote in the tweet, “What a complete lie. Just shameful that ARY would make up stuff like that”.
Mohammad Nawaz, a Pakistani based in Birmingham, responded by quoting international media as saying “talks between Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund were successful. According to IMF’s terms and conditions, Pakistan will make the price of oil costlier by Rs 28 per liter and make electricity costlier by Rs 6 per unit in the next three months.”

Pakistan’s Minister of State for Finance Dr. Ayesha Ghose said in an interview that talks between Pakistan and the IMF are moving in a positive direction and according to Finance Minister Miftah Ismail’s statement, progress is going to be made soon on the revival of the programme.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, on the other hand, said the IMF is not ready to flex its terms and despite raising the price of petrol, the IMF has not yet signed an agreement with Pakistan.
