ISLAMABAD, Jan 30: National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) reported that during last 24 hours, most deaths occurred in Punjab followed by Sindh. Out of 65 deaths during last 24 hours 58 died in hospital and 7 died out of hospital on 29 Jan, 36 of the patients died on ventilators. 2,179 people were tested COVID positive on 29 Jan. The percentage of ventilators occupied in 4 major areas comes off as 38% in Islamabad, 37% in Multan, 35% in Lahore and 25% in Peshawar. Whereas, the percentage of oxygen beds occupied in major areas areas is reported as 41% in Peshawar, 35% in Karachi, 34% in Multan, and 24% in Rawalpindi. The total active COVID cases in Pakistan count to 33,439 as of 30 Jan. Out of the 41,435 tests conducted on 29 Jan, cases breakdown is reported to be 12,642 in Sindh, 14,592 in Punjab, 6,629 in KP, 6,168 in ICT, 574 in Balochistan, 323 in GB and 507 in AJK. 498,152 people have recovered so far across Pakistan making it a significant count.
