Do you fear change? Sometimes you are so well settled in our comfort zone, that a change can be scary. It has to do with uncertainty of the future. A fear of changed circumstances. This in turn is tied up with the fear of inadequacy. The fear of not measuring up. The fear of not being able to deliver. Even if you succeed, the nagging question is; do you deserve it or was it a fluke of luck? Our past, often plays a part. Were you compared to a brighter sibling or a friend? Were you told you must do as well if not better? Encouraging competition between siblings or others is unhealthy parenting. Each individual has strengths in different areas. Children must be encouraged to develop themselves.
Usually, we do not analyze the reason for our fears. We should. Introspection can help clear the air. Fear nurtured, over time becomes unhealthy. You are not perfect. No one is. If you aim for perfection, you will fail. But that’s how you grow. By learning from your mistakes.

Live your life. Do not destroy your today for fear of tomorrow.
John Lennon: ““There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.”
